Share your stories of your visit through World Vision Experience: AIDS, read about the impact this exhibit has had on countless lives and the work that God is doing in communities across America as well as throughout Africa.
The exhibit was simply amazing. Eyes were opened and hearts were touched. I continue to be impressed with World Vision as an organization.
Before beginning to promote this event, our church had never even said the words "AIDS" before - in a public forum. We just had no reason to. I am simply amazed how receptive our people have become to caring about the AIDS pandemic and about the suffering of children in Africa.
We decided to investigate this exhibit because WillowCreek\Church had so strongly endorsed it to us - as a hosting site for their Leadership Summit.
After our pastoral team decided to "book" the exhibit, I as the point person, then had to investigate the AIDS issue so that I could effectively make the most of the event.
This lead myself and my senior pastor going with World Vision on their C2C Pastor Visions Trip to Africa. After seeing with our own eyes, the magnitude of the issue, both myself and my senior pastor's hearts were all in and we could lead with vision.
We now feel God is leading Brookside Church to a significant partnership with a care center in Zambia that will help children orphaned because of AIDS. My hats off to World Vision for leading our church from being on the sidelines on this world crisis to being very actively engaged. I could have never have envisioned this much advancement for our church. Thanks for being a tool in the hand of God for us. You're making an incredible difference!
The exhibit is absolutely stunning in how well it is designed! You come out it a different person - inspired to get on the solution side of this crisis. I had families coming out united with shared experience, a teachable moment, and a cause. I also had board members with hearts broken, asking "how can we help".
God used the exhibit in the life of our church to break our hearts about an issue that is breaking His heart.
Thanks,
John Alford
